At first believing you had to attend CENTRAL or RADA to make it she found that she was increasingly surrounded by actors and actresses in roles that she knew she could do herself.  Her hunger to act grew and she decided that she wanted more than just background roles.
Tim directed a range of varied and inventive pop promos for the top UK bands of the time and Eileen was exposed to a range of styles of music and also the rapid filming schedules and quick fire production of this type of work.  Her good looks meant she was soon in front of the cameras Soft Cell, Altered Images (it was the Eileen in the Lion costume!), The Cure, Bow Wow Wow, The Style Council, The Psychedelic Furs and others were all bands that had Tim Pope promos and Eileen absorbed the film making business like a sponge.
Life moved on, Eileen continued to model to pay the bills.  But she never lost sight of what she wanted to do and studied drama in every spare minute she could get.  Spare time was in short supply back then, as she took every role, stage, screen, or otherwise, and learned how to act on the job.  She even studied briefly under Fenella Fielding (most famous herself for portraying the smoking vamp in CARRY ON SCREAMING, one of the better CARRY ON films).  All the time she would produce poems and write constantly and this writing and constant invention would later form the basis of her later song writing.

Networking played a huge part in her success.  First she met Steve Severin, the Bass player of the Banshees – who would produce a single for her years later.  Steve introduced her to Nigel Wingrove, the writer and producer.  Now Nigel was (is) a bit of a character, and in Eileen, found a kindred spirit.  He had just had a film withdrawn by the British Board of Film Classification and that film VISIONS OF ECSTASY was eventually banned on the grounds of Blasphemy.    Nigel cast Eileen as the lead role of “Justine” in his new film “The Marque De Sade”. Work started on the project but funding was unfortunately withdrawn meaning the film could not be completed.  Over a few drinks they drew up plans for a new film company to promote the more obscure horror films gathering dust in various studio basements.  Redemption Horror Films (AKA Salvation) was born with Eileen as the demure face of the company if a white eyed demoness with fangs and a penchant for automatic weaponry and bondage gear can be called demure.
The Redemption brand released films, music, published books and magazines and Nigel’s strong design ethic (with help from Eileen and Marc Morris) created a consistent and eye catching range of products with Eileen as the company logo and muse adorning everything.
